Meet James Perry, Senior Growth Marketing Manager at 3Z Brands and the digital engine behind Helix and Birch’s paid media strategies. Since joining the team over three years ago, James has led our efforts across Google Search, while expanding into Paid Social and Connected TV (CTV) to maximize reach. With a sharp eye for data and a creative approach to performance marketing, he’s constantly testing, learning, and scaling what works to grow our brands in smart, effective ways.

Where are you located?: Pittsburgh, PA
Tell us about what you do in your role at 3Z Brands:
I manage all things Google for Helix & Birch. I specialize in Search Engine Marketing (SEM), but I have expanded my role to also assist with Paid Social and Connected TV (CTV). Essentially, my goal is to find creative ways to grow our brands through digital marketing.
How would you describe the 3Z culture?:
Supportive, Friendly & Intentional.
What do you appreciate the most about working at 3Z?:
I love the flexibility I have in my role to explore new areas that interest me. I started as a subject matter expert in SEM, but voiced that I wanted to grow into new channels. I’ve been able to broaden my expertise beyond my initial expectations, leading to substantial career growth and enhanced digital marketing knowledge.
How has working in the sleep industry changed the way you think about sleep?:
Transparently, I never imagined how much thought went into creating a mattress, but now that I see the process, I’m blown away. I’m impressed by the level of care and consideration that goes into how we build our products, from the density of foams to the new sleep tech. It makes me appreciate even more the mattress I sleep on (Helix Midnight Luxe), knowing how much science is baked in.
